Bedford Camp and Conference Center is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Indiana. This location provides the perfect opportunity for people to “unplug,” enjoy nature, have fun, and kindle a sense of compassion and spirituality. We provide an outdoor setting to spend quality time with members of your church group or ministry. We offer plenty of space and resources to promote a faith-centered atmosphere. The camp is also the ideal place to host your wedding, business meeting, or other special event in a peaceful, secluded setting. Our facilities include the Overlook Lodge, the Old Hearth Lodge, the Cottage in the Woods, ten simple cabins, a swimming pool, a combination basketball/tennis court, a sand volleyball court, an athletic field, a gazebo, three shelter houses, a primitive outdoor amphitheater with a large fire pit, and a wooded vesper trail.
Cabins
Primitive cabins are situated in two groups of 5 cabins each. Each cabin can accommodate up to 10 campers. The cabins are air conditioned and heated for adverse weather. Cabins are very basic, representing the traditional form of simple cabin used in church camps for decades. All of the cabins were renovated in Spring 2021 and have heating and cooling.
​Old Hearth Lodge and RV Hookups
The Old Hearth Lodge has a large 1600 square foot gathering room with a high ceiling and the salvaged limestone fireplace from the old craft lodge. The Old Hearth Lodge contains four ADA compliant bathrooms and a catering/food prep area. The Old Hearth Lodge is ideal for ideal for family reunions, small retreats, small weddings and receptions, anniversary parties, birthday parties, and graduation open houses. Situated near the Old Hearth Lodge are five RV hookups. The hookups are on gravel sites with electrical and water supply. A dump station is also available on site.
Cottage in the Woods
Nestled among the trees on a small ridgetop behind the Old Hearth Lodge, the Cottage in the Woods is the perfect place for a private getaway. The Cottage in the Woods is equipped with a kitchenette, 1.5 bathrooms (ADA compliant), a washer and dryer, two bedrooms, and a loft which can be used as a third bedroom. The door and porch offer a relaxing view to the north, through the woods and over the athletic field. The Cottage in the Woods is the ideal rental for a family getaway, for senior pastors and their spouses to stay in during camps, or for newlywed couples to stay in after their camp wedding. It can also be used as a breakout or focus discussion room during conferences and seminars.
